I think ενεργή/ παθητική θέαση should suffice for these.

I also saw "spectatorship" as the "state of spectating" ... not just "the state of being a spectator."

I think that the same word would be suitable for both. I don'ty really think there is a difference beteen the state of being a spectator and the state of spectating (watching a spectacle).
