wooden members, wooden beam

Hello everyone,

Happy "Δεκαπενταυγουστο".

Wondering what the Greek phrase would be for "wooden members" as in the little wooden parts that make up a wooden fence or a wooden door?

Also how would one refer to a wooden beam, as in the structural member that supports a ceiling?

Thanking you in advance.

wooden beam > ξύλινη δοκός (formally) or ξύλινο δοκάρι (less formally, and colloquially)

wooden member > ξύλινο στοιχείο (but I'm not 100% sure)

Δεν ξέρω αν το ζητούμενο εδώ είναι μόνο η απόδοση του beam πχ, ή εάν ενδιαφέρει και η σχετική ειδική ορολογία.

What about "σανίδα " as the most appropriate word for the planks in a fence or the wooden members of a door? I am looking for the word that an actual carpenter would use and I'm not sure that "στοιχεία " would do it.

Thank you!

Σανίδα is probably too wide for this job. I think a carpenter would expect to hear something like ξύλα, κομμάτια ξύλο, πηχάκια.
