Privacy is a word that is used more an more thanks to the internet but there is one particular context that I am curious about whether I’m translating it right in Greek:

To say something like “I want to plant this tree to give us privacy from the neighbors” would it be “Θέλω να φυτέψω αυτό το δέντρο για να μας δώσει ιδιωτικότητα από τους γείτονες. “

Is this correct?

No, it doesn't sound natural. I don't like "ιδιωτικότητα" + "από", and as far as I can see, this word does not take "από" as a complement (as, for example, the word "απομόνωση" does).

You could say "Θέλω να φυτέψω αυτό το δέντρο για (να έχουμε) λίγη ιδιωτικότητα, να μη μας βλέπουν οι γείτονες / μακριά από τα μάτια των γειτόνων / μακριά από τους γείτονες" or "Θέλω να φυτέψω το δέντρο για λίγη απομόνωση από τους γείτονες / για να είμαστε λίγο απομονωμένοι από τους γείτονες".
