Καλησπέρα. Το κείμενο είναι ένα σχόλιο σε μια πρόταση του Θουκυδίδη, και έχει ως εξής (ξεκινάω με τον Θ.):
'and the other half (πλοίων) to station themselves round Triopion and seize the merchant ships coming from Egypt'. Th. does not say where these merchant ships would be going, or what they would be carrying, so we should be careful not to over-interpret; but 'Athens' and 'grain' are obvious guesses. [διάφορες παραπομπές...] Most of the evidence is C4, but this passage is an interestingly early piece of evidence for the trade, if evidence it is. It certainly shows desire to inflict economic damage on the enemy by denying him the freight on the merchant ships - or perhaps merely desire to help oneself to the *pickings* from those merchant ships.
