Does his superior speak English?

Another possibly tricky one: If one wanted to ask "Does his superior speak English?" what word would be best for "superior" when referring to the person that one is immediately answerable to? Not "αφεντικό" right? Not "προιστάμενος" either, I don't think?

Also, if there is no specific job title and not looking for someone's boss, you can ask for the υπεύθυνος.

Προϊστάμενος. Even if this is not a formal arrangement and you are simply asking for a senior employee who may or may not be this person's supervisor, you will get your point across.
