Conceptual design

When an architect comes up with sketches or alternatives to show a client that phase is called "Conceptual Design". Once one of the alternatives in the "Conceptual Design" phase is approved by the client then the architect begins the final construction drawings.

If somebody could please give me phrases for alternatives and/or conceptual design, I would really appreciate it.

Hi, I asked a cousin who is an architect. The English term didn't ring a bell but when I gave her the context you provide she said: "A, so it's "παρουσίαση αρχιτεκτονικής ιδέας", that's how we referred to it at the School of Architecture." Hope it helps.
