Chora is a quiet place, it could be a paradise in the summer

How do I best put into Greek this sentence:-
Chora (in Astypalaia) is a quiet place, it could be a paradise in the summer [για το καλοκαίρι] if there weren't a few mopeds going up and down the harbour αν δεν υπήρχαν μερικά μηχανάκια ανεβοκατεβαίνουν από το λιμάνι. Would an από be correct here? Or στο λιμάνι? :)

Το καλοκαίρι, because για το καλοκαίρι would mean "for the summer" implying a wish to go there next summer, or one of the next summers, while το καλοκαίρι implies the general "in (the) summer".

Από το λιμάνι or στο λιμάνι, depending on the standpoint —or not; it's not a strict rule. I'd use από, assuming the standpoint is from Chora itself, or talking about it, so the port would be the distant place for which από seems more appropriate to me.

Before ανεβοκατεβαίνουν, I'd add a που for "that go up and down", or a που or even να for "going up and down".

Thanks, Daeman, on all three counts & fourthly for the stunning photoshots. So many of these little Greek islands, no doubt rarely visited until nowadays, must maintain their ancient customs, some pre-Christian or, at any rate, superficially Christianised. No doubt, the modern wave of tourism is good for this & many other islands' economy but I have seen what has happened in the concreting of Kerkyra & such loathsome eyesores & cultural wildernesses like the village of Kavos.
What does πού θα πάει mean? 'Where shall one go?' Or does it have an idiomatic meaning?

Idiomatic, meaning "it will happen" / "won't miss it" / "it won't be long now": «πού θα πάει (θα έρθουν και καλύτερες μέρες), δε θα αργήσει, κάποτε (σύντομα) θα συμβεί». I used it as "it will happen some time" here, combining it with the literal "πού θα πάει (το νησί);" (the island won't go away) and "θα πάω" as a little wordplay of sorts, of the sort I like, short.
