Can someone please articulate to me what the word "χέρωμα" means? I am seeing it in book about the geography of a hilly town and having trouble finding its definition in the dictionaries.
It's the name of a district but I'm not sure that it has any meaning in Greek. I can't find any references but going solely on memory I vaguely recall that it may be derived from the Arvanitic word for "valley". I could be totally mistaken though.
