To beat someone easily and effortlessly/to beat someone easily/to speak angrily to someone, or to criticize someone/to deal with someone or something easily and completely:-
--My boss would eat me for breakfast if I asked for more money.
--People say she eats her competitors for breakfast.
--He is a level-headed guy who eats pressure for breakfast.
The second example is in my experience the commonest usage. If an upper-class woman decides to work as a nurse in a tough crime-ridden district, someone might say:-
--How will she cope there? They'll eat her for breakfast!:huh:
