Really should be 'as if you care'. Used sarcastically to mean 'you are pretending concern when in reality you have perhaps an ulterior motive in pretending thet concern'.
--My cousin has been grounded & has had her mobile confiscated for going out with someone her dad doesn't like so I've lent her mine.
