The doctrine of signatures is a philosophy shared by herbalists from the time of Dioscurides and Galen. This doctrine states that herbs that resemble various parts of the body can be used to treat ailments of that part of the body. (από τη βίκη, εδώ).Καμία ιδέα πώς (αν) λέγεται στα ελληνικά; Βρίσκω μια γενική "δόγματος των σημείων" όλη κι όλη, κι αυτή σε εισαγωγικά. Αν πρόκειται για φιλοσοφία από την εποχή του Δισοκουρίδη και του Γαληνού πάντως, μου φαίνεται δύσκολο να λεγόταν «δόγμα» του οτιδήποτε.
