Does any one use or remember baby words for things like μαμ for food, νάνι for sleep, μιμί/βαβά for a small injury, νινί for a baby, άτα for a walk, τσιτσί for meat and κοκό for something sweet. These words have been sent to me by a friend. In English we call toes 'piggy wiggies' from the nursery rhyme This Little Pig went to Market'. The words for "This little piggy" nursery rhyme are used to point out each one of the child's toes! The last line in "This little piggy went wee wee wee all the way home..." is used to accompany the child being tickled by the narrator of the poem! This rhyme is extremely popular which ensures that it will be passed from generation to generation.
