που λένε και στο χωριό μου

There is a comprehensive article on this in slang.gr but can someone say succinctly what it means in ordinary usage. Does it correspond to the English 'as my [old] grandmother used to say'? Or this is an old recipe 'which my grandmother used to make'?:blush:

I think that "στο χωριό μου" here means "as ordinary, simple folk say".
