Δύο (τουλάχιστον) πρότυπα προβλέπουν την περίπτωση αυτή. Τα παραθέτω (για να εφαρμοστούν στα καθ'ημάς όπου English εννοούμε Greek):
Το πρώτο είναι το MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers, 7th edition (New York, 2009).
5.5.22.......A Book in a Language Other than English.
Cite a book published in a language other than English like any other book. Give the author’s name, title and publication information as they appear in the book […] If it seems necessary to clarify the title, provide a translation, in square brackets: “Gengangere [Ghosts].” Similarly, you may use square brackets to give the English name of a foreign city --“Wien [Vienna]”-- or you may substitute the English name, depending on your reader’s knowledge of the language […]

15.118......TITLES IN LANGUAGES OTHER THAN ENGLISH
Titles of works in languages other than English are treated the same as English titles except that capitalization follows the conventions of the language of the work.
Cesbron, Henry. Histoire critique de l’hystérie. Paris: Asselin et Houzeau, 1909.
Gundert, Wilhelm. Japanische Riligionsgeschichte: Die Religionen der Japaner und Koreaner in
......geschichtilichem Abriss dargestellt. Stuttgart; Gundert Verlag, 1943.
Martellotti, G., et al. La letteratura italiana: Storia e testi. Vol. 7. Milan: Riccardo Ricciardi, 1955.
When it is desirable to provide readers with a translation of a title, the translation follows the title and is enclosed in parentheses (sometime in square brackets). the translation is set in roman type, without quotation marks, and only the first word (of title and subtitle) and proper nouns and adjectives are capitalized. When a summary in another language is provided, that fact is also included in parentheses:
Gross, Natan, Itamar Yaoz-Kest, and Rinah Klinov, eds. Ha-Shoah be-Shirah ha-Ivrit: Mivhar (The Holocaust in
......Hebrew poetry: An anthology). Ha-Kibbutz ha-Me’uhad, 1974.
Wereszyncki, Henryk. Koniec sojuszu trzech cesarzy (The end of the Three Emperors’ League; summary in
......German). Warsaw: PWN, 1977.
15.119......Ιf a title is given only in translation, the translation is treated as the title, but the original language must be specified:

......Twentieth Century (in Russian). Moscow: Izdatel’stvo “Nauka,” 1977.
15.169 A citation of an English translation of a work in a foreign language should not include the original edition unless the full citation of the latter is also given:
