Can anyone locate this snippet (?) of poetry? It sounds like Elytis but I'm probably well off the mark:-
'Don't cry for the Roman nation
At the point of knuckling under,
When the knife has reached the bone
& the yoke is at its neck
It jumps up anew, & takes courage & grows bold,
& pierces the dragon with the sun's spear.
Better still, I would also be grateful for the original Greek. :clap:
