I've only recently come across this term though apparently it has been in vogue since 2004.
It is an Americanism, used by singer Justin Timberlake in 2004 to explain the incident during Super Bowl XXXVIII in which Janet Jackson's right breast was bared ['a nipple slip']. It is a euphemism for 'an accidental instance of indecent exposure caused by a fault in someone's clothing (especially that of a performer) or by an error made while changing this costume', like the 'oops moment' we recently discussed. Is it δυσλειτουργία ντουλαπών? However, Ι think that perhaps φωτογραφικό ενσταντανέ [Themis] or αποκαλυπτήρια [bernardina] is a more concise euphemism. It is obviously accidental (rather than the more deliberate 'flashing' [επιδειξιμανία]) or is a wardrobe malfunction a Freudian slip?!! Sorry for the lamentable pun.:)
