Good morning to everybody.
Is that an idiom? :confused:

Μπροστά μου μια γριά κυρία ανάμεσα στις δυο κόρες της προχωρούσαν προς το καφενείο του μόλου. Κάπου κάπου αδράχνω μερικά κουρέλια κουβέντας: "Οι πατάτες καμιά φορά δε βράζουν. - Αυτό το μυστήριο της τσατσάρας! - Μα δεν ξέρεις, καημένη μαμά, πώς ... - Άμα δε λυπάσαι τα λεπτά, βρίσκεις! "

As Kazantzakis says, these are scattered pieces of a conversation between a mother and her daughters. So there is no idiom, probably a comb was just lost and never found (a common family mystery).
