Symbol for "times" in Greek

Good morning friends,

In English the symbol for "times" is "x". For example, 3 x 4 = 12. In Greek would you use "χ" or "*" or something else?

We use x as well. For 3 x 3 = 9, for instance, we say τρία επί τρία ίσον εννιά, τρεις φορές το τρία κάνει εννιά (this is mostly for younger children), or simply τρεις τρεις εννιά.

Actually, apart from the middle dot, the × symbol is "middle" in a sense as well, and rather not a small x letter.

That's what i always use, the × symbol - not a small x letter.
