Fist of all, the official version of what Einstein is supposed to have said is the following:

The religion of the future will be a cosmic religion. It should transcend a personal God and avoid dogma and theology. Covering both the natural and the spiritual, it should be based on a religious sense arising from the experience of all things, natural and spiritual, as a meaningful unity. Buddhism answers this description. If there is any religion that could cope with modern scientific needs, it would be Buddhism.

On the other hand, there seem to be many versions of this saying and hardly any documentation. Where and when did Einstein say this?

In addition, we are quite happy to read Einstein on physics (so to speak) but, when it comes to religion, we prefer to read more widely.

Finally, and I'm keeping this brief, nobody wants to find proselytizing messages in their mailbox.

I will need assurances from the proselytizing member that the forum and access to other members' addresses will not be used as a spamming opportunity. Or we will have to take the necessary measures.
