Μες στην καρδιά μου ένα πουλί

What exactly does this verse mean in the song 'Inside your black hair'?

Μες στην καρδιά μου ένα πουλί
δε βλέπεις πώς σπαράζει
κι αν κελαηδεί κι αν κελαηδεί
το λιώνει το μαράζι

Inside my heart a bird/You don't see how it trembles/And if it sings and if it sings/it melts the heartache??:(

Put it straight:
Don't you see how a bird throbs/shivers in my heart? And even if it sings and sings, it melts from love sickness.
Of course the bird is the heart.

Thanks, Earion.:) Again the punctuation is faulty. There should be a question mark at the end of the second line.

The punctuation mark might have helped, but I think the problem Theseus is the object/ subject of the verb.
Το λιώνει το μαράζι: the first το is a pronoun and it is the object of the verb, the second is the subject. Perhaps it would be easier to understand it written like this: Το μαράζι λιώνει το πουλί.

Thanks, SBE. Twice recently I have mistaken the word pattern O V S. The last time was my failure to translate correctly μας πιάνουν τα μερακια.:(
