Of a woman's beautiful voice. How would I translate this into Greek? Έκανε οι άγγελοι να κλαίνε; or έκανε τους αγγέλους να κλάψανε; :confused:

Verb in past tense (she made) + object in accusative (the angels) + present tense subjunctive (weep)

or

Έκανε τους αγγέλους να κλάψουν. (single instance)

Verb in past tense (she made) + object in accusative (the angels) + past tense subjunctive (weep)


This is the weeping song
A song in which to weep
While all the men and women sleep

Thanks,'Man.:) I was sure in songs that a delayed nominative could be placed before the subordinate clause. Am I entirely wrong?:confused:

Αν εννοείς σύνταξη του είδους «κάνω κάποιος να θέλει», δεν μπορώ να σκεφτώ παράδειγμα που δεν θα ενοχλούσε. Θέλουμε πάντα αντικείμενο σε αιτιατική.

κάνω κάποιον ευτυχισμένο
θα σε κάνει άνθρωπο
θα σε κάνει να μετανιώσεις
έκανε τον κόσμο να κλάψει / να κλαίει
 
Α, σκέφτηκα παραδείγματα με ονομαστική:

Θέλω ο άνθρωπος να είναι περήφανος.
Θέλω να ξέρουν όλοι τι να κάνουν.

Ονομαστική για το υποκείμενο της δευτερεύουσας. Όχι όμως για το κάνω.
 
Thanks, Nickel. You have more than adequately dealt with my query. Your second example anyhow has the όλοι within a subordinate clause and the subject of ξέρουν and κάνουν.
 
Έκανε τους αγγέλους να κλάψουν.
Έκανε να κλάψουν οι άγγελοι.
