Get on the train, go to the arms!

Είναι η συνέχεια απ' το προηγούμενο νήμα. Δεν βρίσκω πουθενά παιδιά την έννοια αυτών των δύο, και δεν ξέρω πως να το αποδώσω σωστά.

Στο βιντεάκι δείχνει έναν προπονητή να εμψυχώνει την αθλήτρια του στον στίβο.

"Ανέβασε ταχύτητα" μήπως ή ρυθμό;

Αν είσαι βέβαιος ότι το νόημα είναι αυτό, δηλαδή ότι εμψυχώνει την αθλήτρια, μπορείς να το αποδώσεις με οποιονδήποτε τρόπο: Π.χ. «Πιο γρήγορα, δώσ' τα όλα!"

Εγώ δεν καταλαβαίνω τι σημαίνει "go to the arms". Κάποια περίεργη σημασία θα έχει και αναρωτιέμαι αν βοηθάνε τα συμφραζόμενα να την καταλάβεις. Είναι κάποιο βαγόνι όπου φυλάνε τα όπλα;

(Άκυρο, δεν είδα τα του προπονητή... Εξακολουθώ να μην καταλαβαίνω.)

Για ρίξε μια ματιά στο παρακάτω, θα σε βοηθήσει μάλλον. :)

Βρήκα κι άλλα δύο go to the arms σε κόντεξτ αγώνων δρόμου, αλλά μάλλον είναι ιδιωματικό και όχι κυριολεκτικό εδώ:

One thing that is lacking from that ENTIRE Penn State squad is emotion. They run like robots. I want to see fire in their eyes that is never there (including Loxsom). When it gets down to the last 100m you NEVER see a Penn State runner go to the arms and claw for every inch. You NEVER see a Penn State runner refuse to lose. You NEVER see a Penn State runner dig in and reach for that extra gear, even if it isn't there.

Οπότε πρέπει να σημαίνει κάτι σαν «Μείνε κοντά στους πρώτους, δούλεψε με τα χέρια τώρα».

Εδιτ: Δεν είχα δει το δεύτερο του Στάθη, αλλά απλώς ενισχύει την εικόνα που σχημάτισα: «Δούλεψε χέρια, μπράτσα, αγκώνες κλπ.» Κάτι θα υπάρχει και στα δικά μας, αλλά χρειάζεται γυμναστής με ειδικότητα για να μας πει.

Εδιτ 2: Ούτε το αποκάτω είχα δει, βέβαια. :)

Ή και «δούλεψε τα χέρια» (χωρίς «με»).
Κάπως πρέπει να λέγεται αυτό το train, αλλά δεν μου έρχεται τώρα (πάει πολύς καιρός από την τελευταία φορά που είδα στίβο στην τηλεόραση)...
