curtain twitcher

I'm sure others will have better ideas, but I remember we used to have an old lady in our neighbourhood who was always spying on everyone behind closed curtains and people were referring to her as το φωτοκύτταρο.

You can also say (Κυρά) Κατίνα (a gossip, mostly used for women).
 
Λαδικό* ή Περιεργίδου**, ή Ο Κατάσκοπος που μ' Αγάπησε*** (at least that's what we used to call our beloved curtain twitcher, aka mrs. Artemis) :laugh:

*an oil-can, literally. A person who can't hold their tongue and therefore the words flow like oil, unstopable.
**A last name-like word, from περίεργος = nosy.
***No further comments :D
 
ή κυρα-κουτσομπόλα, έτσι απλά. Ή Η κουτσομπόλα της γειτονιάς. Το πρακτορείο Ρόιτερ.

Reminds me of a sharp comment by Alan Bates as Andrew Shaw in a film set in a Yorkshire mining town (based on a great play by David Storey) I recently saw, for the local curtain twitcher:
Hmm. They’ll bury that woman in a glass coffin. Or a wooden one with little windows in. :D

Zazula's contributions are made-up words, I suppose (at least, I hear them for the first time), and should be marked as such when given in reply to questions by Theseus. In any case, the adorable "Πρακτορείο Διαρρόιτερ" would correspond to the bush telegraph, the grapevine, the rumour mill (ράδιο αρβύλα), wouldn't it?

Το πρακτορείο Διαρρόιτερ (που μου άρεσε πολύ) :D μου θύμισε το κρυωμένος κώλος, χαρακτηρισμό του νοσηρά κουτσομπόλη που τρέχει αμέσως να διαδώσει παντού ό,τι μαθαίνει. Δηλαδή δε μιλάμε για απλή διαρροή πληροφοριών, αλλά για κανονική διάρροια!

Εγώ τους/τις ξέρω ως κλεφτοβλεψίες αλλά από ό,τι φαίνεται δεν είναι διαδομένος όρος.

Καλό! Εννοεί ίσως τον λαθροβλεψία ο Cougr. (Δεν υπάρχει κλεπτοβλεψίας ή κρυπτοβλεψίας.) Μόνο που υπάρχει ένα πρόβλημα: έχουν βάλει τη λέξη να περιγράφει την ενέργεια και όχι τον υπεύθυνο για την πράξη, όπως έγινε με τον ηδονοβλεψία.
